General

All works offered are original artworks, antiques, or vintage objects unless otherwise clearly stated.

Due to the nature of antique and historical works, minor imperfections may be present that cannot always be fully described in writing. These may include stains, creases, small tears, discolouration, mounting wear, restoration, or other signs of age.

Buyers are asked to approach such works with an understanding of their historical character.

Condition

All artworks are sold in their present condition.

As period objects, minor wear consistent with age may be present, including creases, stains, discoloration, mounting wear, small repairs, or restoration. Where significant damage is visible, it will be noted in the description.

However, it is not always possible to describe every minor imperfection. Buyers are encouraged to review all images carefully before purchasing. If any aspect of the condition is unclear, or if additional photographs or details are desired, these can happily be provided upon request prior to purchase.

Authenticity & Attribution

Descriptions and attributions are provided in good faith and represent the informed opinion of the seller based on current research, visual examination, and available reference material.

In the field of historical art, scholarly opinions may differ. Any statement regarding authorship, attribution, or authenticity should therefore be understood as an opinion rather than a guarantee, and other experts or institutions may reasonably reach different conclusions.

Terms such as “attributed to,” “after,” “in the manner of,” or similar conventions reflect established art historical practice and should be interpreted accordingly.

Accessories

Boxes, storage tubes, certificates, or additional materials are included only if shown in the listing photographs.

Colour & Photography

Every effort is made to represent colours and textures accurately. However, variations may occur due to monitor settings, lighting conditions, and photographic limitations.

Shipping

Shipping costs are calculated separately unless stated otherwise.

International buyers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import regulations applicable in their country.

Due to the age and fragility of certain works, minor changes such as loosening of scroll ends, aged adhesives, or small shifts in mounting materials may occur during transit. Packaging is undertaken with care, but these inherent material characteristics are understood and accepted by the purchaser.

Archival Documentation

Purchased works may remain visible on this website as part of the ongoing study and documentation of the collection. This archival record contributes to the research, appreciation, and scholarly discussion of the works.

If a purchaser prefers that an artwork be removed from the website after acquisition, this can be arranged upon request.

Final Sale

All sales are final.

By completing a purchase, the buyer confirms that they have read and agreed to these terms.
